Intro to Artist Books

Service Description

Learn the basics of book binding and artist book making from a Contemporary Art perspective in this mini course. We'll look at artists who utilize graphic novel motifs, basic book binding, zine making, collage, pop up books and experimental book making. We'll look at artists from the Dadaists-Kara Walker. Book as medium for art making is a wild and wonderful world and this class will be a fun and engaging exploration of this medium. Ages 12+
